Parking
Open Door has no parking of its own aside from a couple of spaces reserved for tutors and disabled customers. The nearest public car park is St John's Well Lane, Berkhamsted, HP4 1HA, but there are several in the town - please see www.berkhamstedtowncouncil.gov.uk/car-parks for information. Please do not park in the Sacred Heart carpark on Park Street as you will be fined by their parking management system.
Disabled access & parking
Our main building is accessible via a very small ramp up to the main front door, and we have a fully accessible toilet on the ground floor, suitable for all. The café is situated on the ground floor, but many of our activities and workshops take place upstairs - please enquire on [email protected] if you need more information. If you require parking, please contact us to discuss your needs prior to visiting, by the same email or phone as above.
Opening hours
We are open to the public Monday to Friday 10:30-3:30 & Saturday 10:30-1pm - serving hot drinks, cakes and soup in our donations café and exhibition space. We also offer many activities and workshops, both in the main building and also at The Studio around the corner on Park Street, many of these outside of these hours. Please note that our Community Pantry out the front of the property is open 24/7 and will kept as stocked as possible by our volunteer team..
